Smith Montoya formed Bella in 2009 with her partner, Gina K. Picicci, after
working with Real Property Investment Services, Inc. for 18 years. She
held positions with RPI as Marketing Manager, Financial Manager, CFO,
Vice President of Asset Management and President. Her experience
includes marketing initiatives, financial management, investor
relations, strategic planning and property management operations. Her
team approach and emphasis on individual and community leadership has
helped make Bella the preferred employer for many property management
Amy earned her Bachelor's degree from Pepperdine
University. She currently serves on the Arizona Multihousing Association
Board of Directors and for the National Apartment Association (NAA) as the Regional Vice President for Region 7. In addition to her participation on various committees and task forces for both associations, she has been an Arizona Delegate to the NAA for 6 years.
Picicci has 30+ years' experience in the property management industry.
In her current role as Vice President of Bella, Gina has great influence
and impact on the day-to-day reporting and strategic analysis of the
Gina's experience includes serving as Commercial
Facilities Manager, Property Manager, Asset Manager, Regional Manager,
Assistant Vice President, and Human Resource Manager. Current
responsibilities include oversight and analysis of daily operations,
leadership of the corporate team members, conflict resolution and risk
She has taken courses from the Building Owners and
Managers Institute International (Real Property Administrator program),
and is a Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) designate with
the National Apartment Association.
Shelley Boucher has been in the property management industry since 2002 providing leadership in finance, accounting and asset management. Her responsibilities currently include maintaining partnership and corporate documentation; corresponding with investors, lenders, attorneys and CPAs; processing sale, purchase, and refinance transactions; software implementation and training; budgeting, auditing, tax and estate planning; forecasting; and cash management.
Shelley received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance in 2011 from the University of Phoenix.
During her 20 years in property management, Brenda has held positions as Property Manager and Advertising Director. Her responsibilities include creating and implementing our sales and marketing strategy, coordination of advertising, web site maintenance, training and evaluation of sales staff, coordination of corporate and summer rental program, and acting as our in-house apartment locator.
Brenda Klein obtained her AA/AS from Allen Hancock Junior College in Santa Maria, California. She spent 8 years with Holiday Inn where her duties included front desk and receivables, as well as some group sales.
Kim originally worked for Bella Investment Group, LLC as a Property
Manager from 1999 to 2004 and returned to Bella in December of 2009 as
our Accounting/Human Resource Manager. Kim's position has recently
developed into the Director of Talent Management position. Kim's duties
include managing payroll processing/coordination, personnel matters
assigned to assure compliance with federal and state labor laws,
recruiting of new personnel, pre-employment processing, new hire
processing/trainings, along with trainings for current team members. She
also processes benefits enrollements and workmen's compensation claims,
and prepares and presents employee reviews and annual compensation
Kim received her Bachelors of Science in Business
Administration and is also a Licensed Real Estate Agent, with her
license actively hung within the home office of Bella Investment Group.
Kim is in her second year serving as the Northern Arizona Human Resource Association President. Kim is also a member of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management) and carries both her PHR and CP designations.
Crystal DeHoag has been with Bella Investment Group since 2006. Most of those years were spent as an onsite Property Manager at one of our larger communities. Crystal has been the Director of Property Management since January 2014. Crystal plays a key role in the day to day operations including Marketing, Accounting, Advertising, and Leadership Development, while still maintaining the big picture vision of Bella Investment Group.
Flagstaff is her hometown and she has deep roots in the community, graduating from Sinagua High School and continuing on to Northern Arizona University where she studied Geology/Earth Sciences. Crystal has had her real estate license since 2008 and also has her CAM certification.
Richard Marquart has served Bella's computer networking needs for 5 years with his own business, Data Doctors. Richard has proudly been on staff with Bella since February 2014. Richard holds an integral role in managing the IT needs, keeping everyone's computers happy and healthy. His drive to achieve and his willingness to be a team player has made his tenure with Bella a positive and dynamic experience.
Richard has had extensive experience in training franchisees, producing training programs, and creating innovative components for the growth of other businesses in Arizona. Richard's achievements include: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Microsoft Certified Systems Professional, and A+
Emily is responsible for processing Accounts Payable and providing assistance to the Accounting Manager. Her duties include processing the daily bookkeeping functions of the Bella-managed apartment communities by recording the business transactions and maintaining/retaining the accounting records. She also posts, verifies and reconciles accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, bank statements, and other ledger accounts.
Emily received her Associate of Arts in Business and her Certificate of Accounting in 2013 from Coconino Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance with a minor in Investments in 2017 from Northern Arizona University.
Elizabeth provides assistance to the Managing Partners as well as general administrative and marketing support. She is responsible for internal software support and website and social media site maintenance. She also coordinates company events and celebrations.
Elizabeth received her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Business and minor in Spanish from Missouri Southern State University in 2009.
